Each year, I offer a chess camp during winter break. Since the camp is limited to 8 kids, your child will have a very personalized learning experience. A key feature of my camps is that we review your child's own games while they are still fresh in their minds.
This is quite different from my Sunday classes, where we typically discuss master games or selected positions. In this camp, I give everyone a scorepad and teach them to record their moves. On the first day, I play all the kids myself to become more familiar with their game. They spend the rest of the week playing each other, and after each game we discuss the things they did right and the mistakes that were made.
On the last day, we have a pizza party and some additional fun activities. This can be a great learning experience for your kids, as well as giving them something enjoyable and productive to do during winter break.
This year's camp is geared toward players rated approximately to The registration form, with further details, is here: Winter camp registration form Upcoming Events: The USCF releases "official" rating updates on a monthly basis.

Honor Roll list is updated twice a year. The Honor Roll lists the name and school for the top 7 players in each grade. Students must be currently active and have an established rating. Established ratings require 25 rated games or more.
